Dr. Melanie Shapiro is a veterinarian at The Beacon Veterinary Associates in Beacon with a special interest in wound management, dermatology, and endocrine disease.

Dr. Shapiro is a 2016 graduate of The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Shapiro worked at several busy practices in New York City before relocating to Phoenix, AZ where she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urgent Care at Midwestern University. She recently returned to the east coast to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Shapiro has experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and general practice. Her clinical interests include wound management, dermatology, and endocrine disease.
Outside of work, Dr. Shapiro enjoys running, hiking, and traveling. She lives in Beacon with her husband, son, and rescue pup Wallace.
