Hospital Director

Janet M. Cosh, Beacon Hospital Manager

Janet M. Cosh

Read Bio

First and foremost, Janet is a Mom to three amazing children whom she affectionately refers to as "her favorite people," along with being a Mom to two adorable Chihuahuas named Zeus (pictured) and Zoro (who is also quite handsome but very camera shy!).  She's spent most of her life in the Mid-Hudson Valley and comes to us with an extensive background in management across many fields, including non-profits, higher education, law, and human healthcare, but found the veterinary field to be the most rewarding. She is thrilled to be back to managing a busy small animal hospital, and is honored to be part of the amazing team at the Beacon Veterinary Associates.

When not in the office, spending time with her kids, or cuddling her dogs, Janet likes to take long walks, visit the beach, tend to her gardens, work on her landscape rock art, paper craft, and attend arts and crafts festivals.

Jeanette is one of our front desk receptionists here at the Beacon Vet. She comes to us with a 20-plus-year history of working with Orthopedic Surgeons in human medicine as an Office Administrator and Medical Biller. She is a graduate of the Mandl School of Allied Health as well as being a certified Medical Biller.

After so many years in this field, she decided to make a career change because of her love for all animals great and small. As per Jeanette, “Every day is a new learning experience.” As a Veterinary receptionist, I get to greet both people and their pets all day, which I love. Each owner loves their pet dearly and relies on our guidance and support to help their baby.”

Jeanette is a mom to a son, 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 red ear slider turtles. She loves spending quality time with her “kids,” photography, traveling, amusement parks, and festivals.
